Sweet82 Posted July 26, 2004 Share Posted July 26, 2004 Am I the only one who's fuel door won't stay closed? Every time I look my gas cap cover is slightly open. It doesn't want to stay closed:mad: I've tried bending the latch tab a bit but it seems to just make it impossible to close. Unimportant and irritating. Anyone else have this issue on their Forester? ferret Posted July 26, 2004 Share Posted July 26, 2004 Glenn, I did have that problem with my 02 Forester. Had to bend the hinges outward every so often. Putting a covered screwdriver shaft in the top of the door on the hinge side and gently bending the hinge outward while closing, then doing the same from the bottom. Gets Frustrating.
