subarudon Posted August 4, 2004 Share Posted August 4, 2004 New forum member...need help. Have 2002 Forester S w/76,000 miles. Almost no problems at all since purchased new in July 2001...best auto I've ever owned. However, today the ABS warning light came on (and remained on)...saw blown fuse under dash...replaced fuse...fuse blew again...light is back on. On the way home the CEL came on and remains on...and I soon discovered that when the car was idling and in Park (auto trans), I couldn't put it in gear because the reverse button on the gear selector refused to engage. Only after turning the car off and then on again could I engage the reverse button. Any ideas? Are all or any of these problems related other than by some cruel coincidence? Thanks!
