rear wheel drive with different size tires?

Recommended Posts

On my 87 gl Wagon I've got 185/70/r13s in the front and 185/80/r13s in the back because I found them cheap at a junkyard. I tried to put it in 4WD and it went crazy (obviously). I had to struggle to get it back in FWD. I have an axle going bad and I was just gonna remove it and have it be rear wheel drive but I dont know if that would work. Would it bind up like it did before or will it work fine in rear wheel drive?

ya knock that outer cup off with a hammer, and clean the greas out of it... take out the bearings, and cage ifyou can, its kinda cool how it fits together =]

you can remove one or both, i noticed no difference either way. try not to do too many brake stands with the e brake, as your tires will not last long
