Hi, I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. I've been having a problem with the AWD on my 93 legacy auto. What happens is the AWD will engage the rear wheels violently for a few seconds and then disengage. The car will lose traction for a few seconds and then the AWD will engage again. Last year I rebuilt the transmission because I lost reverse, but the AWD problem didn't go away. I've checked the AWD solenoid and it works fine. I've been reading on this site about problems with the tailshaft where the AWD clutch pack resides, do you think this could be my problem? I was also wondering if the problem could be in the rear itself, but I've never had one apart to see how they work so I just don't know. Any ideas would be great. Thanks!
