WRX engine in XT6?

Recommended Posts

Anything is possible - but you will need to adapt not only the engine to fit the car, but also replace the tranny, and you may have to change the length of the axles. a JDM engine won't help you much since you will need the entire wireing harness as well - ECU, all sensors, etc. Find a wrecked STi and use that. I wouldn't mess with a JDM anything, since they know they are getting rid of the motor after 50,000. The oil hasn't been changed cause they don't care. If you do - rebuild the engine carfully. Your money would better be spent on a complete, wrecked donor car. Saves time, and sanity.

NO. think: JDM vs USDM The JDM stuff you are getting is STi, the USDM is WRX stuff. Nope. BUT: you could find a donor WRX and use it easy'r than getting an STi me thinks.........just get the whole package, its much easy'r. The things i did, ive always had the whole package nearby, so it got done easily.

Hello John,

Ask these guys:

Or these guys:

They probably can give you a lot of insight on what you need to do to get this to work.
