Guest IsraBrat
Hi guys my name is Roi and i'm from Israel! First of all i just wanted to let you all know that I have learn so much about my car (a 94 Brat) and to use this stage to thank all of you guys!. The reason I'm put this subject out is the lack of rear LSD diff's in Israel (although is was the second largest SUBARU'S market in the world in the 80's). So if any of you out there heard about this Item please post it. Thank you all! Roiziss@hotmail.co.il
Guest E Zap
The LSD's do exist. I'm surprised you haven't seen a post about it in your time here. . . I for one sure would like to see a photo of a 94 Brat. I've heard about them, but never seen one newer than 87.

Guest x silvershad0w x
For the R160 rear carrier, the Phantom Grip runs about $300 US, I'm pretty sure that is on thier site. I had the privledge of seing one run in a Honda at the local track here about a month ago, and I was pretty impressed. I couldn't talk the guy into taking out onto some mud and rocks to test it at low speeds, for rock-crawling type stuff thou.. He did some test burns for me at low speeds, and it looks like it works better than a normal LSD would on our cars, but I can't tell until I break down and buy one for my own car The interesting thing about this company is that the locker unti they make would work on the front diff in the tranny as well. This has a huge range of possibilities for turning our Subaru's into unstopablle beasts. Unfortuantely, they want a large first order to prototype a new design, and since we are a smaller market share, that might not become a reality. But, once I get the R160 phantom-grip unit, I might be able to swing a CNC'd custom version of it for our front diffs some freinds I know have thier own CNC and metal shops that might be able to do it to specs. Will jsut have to wait and see on that thou...
Guest IsraBrat
We might try to write the a request with a list of potentials buyers from the board (or just bomb them with e-mails) the front LSD idea sound real nice.
Guest IsraBrat
"Phantom Grip LSD Conversion Kits Turn your stock non-limited slip differential into a proven, competitive limited slip differential <img src="http://www.phantomgrip.com/whatis.html/pic-kit1.jpg" style="border:0;"/> Phantom Grip serves two distinctive functions in your street or race vehicle. First, it functions as a disc-type limited slip in cornering and braking. Disc plates exert pressure against spider gears using spring pressure to regulate the amount of slippage at the wheels. Helping to accelerate earlier, while exiting corners at a higher speed. Secondly, the Phantom Grip works as a locker in hard acceleration. The disc plates pivot, locking spiders, causing both wheels to exert equal power to the road, providing less torque steer than an ordinary differential. With over 120,000 miles of testing, there has been no significant wear of these plates. Although seemingly simple, the 'Phantom Grip design' offers as much maximum traction as other limited slips. The Phantom Grip is extremely strong and durable and comes with a Lifetime Warranty for breakage and manufacturer defects"

Guest offroadsubaruguy
my friend used one on his neon rally car. worked awesome..... the only problem with using them on older subarus is the fat that they dont make one for anything older than 93.... so, if the front diff is close enough to an impreza or legacy front diff, you might be able to use it... so far, as to my knowledge, nobody on the board has..... although it is a good idea...... just make sure that you do some really good homework before you go cramming one into your car, because once it goes in, your gonna have a heck of a time getting it back out...........if you can get it out...... they are a one time deal, no goin back after its in.....
