ezapar Posted March 7, 2005 Share Posted March 7, 2005 When I buy offroad tires for my rigs, I always buy 5, and I buy 6 when I can. Here's why. 1. Nothing like having a full size spare! 2. If you rotate your spare in from time to time (assuming you only have 1) then you will get 25% more life out of your other tires. . . If you have 2 spares that you rotate in, your tires will last 50% longer. 3. Once you pop a tire, you have to buy that extra one anyways. Then you have a new tire you have to run with worn tires. monstaru Posted March 7, 2005 Share Posted March 7, 2005 i have always gotten 5 tires no matter what rig it was for,but with our 4wd systems it is mandatory that you have 5,at least for a lifted rig.....imo.i have been looking seriously at tires as to purchase in the next couple of weeks and have found alot of reason not to buy 5,but i will .
