billyboy
2000 outback, front passenger side bottom, I could have sworn something was there before the oil change, covers the oil filter and periphery. It also would hide any potential drippy stuff from hitting the driveway. Should I bother getting another panel or the hell with it?? thnx:banana:
Setright
Do you mean that car-width black plastic shroud? I drive without it that on for trackdays and very hot summer days. It keeps your engine room clean and your aerodynamic drag co-effecient down, but the engine room temp rises.
Subie Gal
if you buy another ($60ish at a dealership) it will likely tear again in the future go get a real undercover http://www.writerguy.com/primitive/skid.htm Jamie
Strakes
I second what Subie Gal said. My plastic cover panel was fine until the thing tore from the rear and practically ripped in half. Freeway driving would make it flutter and hit the car and scrape the road (bang...scrape...bang....scrape). If you don't off road, the 1/8 inch one does great. I have an 1/8 inch ipd aluminum skid plate and have recently had the pleasure of "testing" it on a tall parking lot curb. It worked great and lifted the front of the car off the ground. I got mine here: http://www.ipdusa.com/ProductsCat.aspx?CategoryID=1672&NodeID=5262&RootID=1414
