I have read something about undersized brake rotors (front or back?) on the Outback and wondered if this applied to the Legacy as well? Any other issues? nickb21 Posted December 10, 2003 Share Posted December 10, 2003 Yup, the original front rotors on the 2000 models were the same as the previous generation, and with the added weight didn't hold up as well. I know that 2001 outbacks got the bigger front rotors, but I'm not sure if all the other models got them as well. As far as I know, if you have the 16" wheels then you shouldn't have a problem putting on the bigger rotors. There may be some more info in this thread as far as brakes go: http://usmb.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8060 There are a few recalls for rustproofing, and one or two other things, not sure which models it's for though. mtsmiths Posted December 10, 2003 Share Posted December 10, 2003 Our '00 Legacy currently has 145,000 miles on it. We bought it 1/24/01 with 100,000 miles on it. We've had no trouble and are still running on the brakes pads that came on it. No warped rotors, no vibration, never seen the ABS light except when we turn on the ignition.
