tuner-automotive Posted October 31, 2007 Share Posted October 31, 2007 Ive cleaned many a engines before but this time the car wouldnt start after a degrease and then wash of the engine bay. Usually I would suspect a wet distributor but we dont have these on our Subies. Car turns over just fine , just wont catch. Any suggestions? tcspeer Posted October 31, 2007 Share Posted October 31, 2007 Make sure your big vacum line that is in the middle of the air tubing is still connected, it is the one that is around 3/4 in. dia. tcspeer Posted November 1, 2007 Share Posted November 1, 2007 You are probably not getting fire, but I would check and see if fuel is getting to the engine also. You may have water down in the spark plug holes, I would check. Did you check that big vacum hose? It has gotten more then one of us.
