Guest wrxsubaru
During a off road excursion in a 91 subaru legacy wagon AWD, my dad hit a rock, the rock was huge, about 1 foot tall, and pretty wide. The rock ened up denting the oil pan on the drain plug side, and it seemed to bend the drain plug. Now the drain plug leaks a couple drips every time you turn off the car and then leaks about 1 drip per 5-10 mins, when on. The trail that we took used to be a car trail, but then the forest service stoped servicing it for about 10 years and now its a dirt bike trail/ hiking trail. I guess I have to replace the oil pan, is there any precations I need to take, or is it a simple swap on and off. Is there any skid plates sold for this car, to help prevent what happened. Also does any one have a extra oil pan, for a ej22. Thanks.
