Guest trinket
Here's what a Subbie looks like after a semi truck and trailer run over the front of it. Luckily, my son wasn't hurt badly and the truck driver got the ticket. there are four pictures. Just change the number after "Mark" to 2, 3 or 4 to see the other pictures. www.idahograpevine.net/images/Mark1.jpg
Guest mattocs
You selling any parts off of it?
Guest Legacy777
that's crazy! What happen? glad to hear your son is ok.
Guest remarcable
I'm guessing the guy with the mullet was the truck driver? :rollin: Glad everyone's alright and it's a shame about the car, but the truck driver probably saved you a couple head gasket replacements and torque bind fixes! Hopefully insurance will get you folks a brand new subie... I hear the new turbo forester is a really fun ride.
Guest meep424
glad nobody was hurt. looks like the soob took it pretty well-- bouncing away some instead of just going under. I've always been a little unsure of the seemingly "thin" A-pillar on mine tho. Mike
Guest PAezb
eeeeeech! Did the air bags ever deploy? You would think even a run over like that would of triggered one of the sensors...
Guest remarcable
Air bags don't deploy except in a few circumstances such as a head on collision.
Guest trinket
No, I can't sell anything off of it as the insurance company is buying it. The air bags did not go off as the front sensors weren't hit correctly for them to go. The truck was passing my son and another slower semi-truck. He saw my son't signal, but assumed my son was passing, too. He pulled in the other lane to pass, then when my son turned instead of passed, ran him over. He, my son, suffered some leg cuts, sprained/strained back and neck. The Subbie held up dam well against the loaded truck. The impact broke one of the driver wheels and a set of the trailer's duals were broken out from under the truck. Thanks for the concern. Now, I'm watching E-bay for a great deal, but torqued that most of the cars are in New York or Florida. Shipping is about a $1000 bucks either way.
