Guest SOOBME
I have AC,(or had that is) so I have a cluch fan (this is on the '85 turbo) and I can spin it freely when the engine is off. If this fan hits the water ( like when X-ing a creek) what will hapen? Iv'e herd that it will be OK and stop spining, but I just was hoping that some one here had expearince with these in the water. Guest snotrocket23
Not subaru, but I've put those fans in water. It's still gonna blow water all over your engine, it's still going to try to turn. It wont hurt it though.
Guest SOOBME
So long as it will not go through the rad. and put holes in it I'm cool with that.
Guest calebz
Mine hasn't given me any problems in the water.. only time it has touched the radiator was when I let a valet park my car and the ran it into a concrete pillar:mad:
Guest MilesFox
the action of the clutch mechanism will dampen the impact of the water, acting like a shock absorber. so you wont be breaking anything. it wont go through the radiator unless you bottom out hard on the front skirt(seen it happen)
