EJ22 wiring harness fun

Recommended Posts

I'm using my Chiltons wiring diagram to help me strip down a harness (have one already stripped that I'm copying from, but want to get more familiar with it). I'm not really understanding all this D16 and C10 ect... what do the letters and numbers have to do with the location of the wires coming out of the yellow plugs? If I can figure that out I could have the wiring finished fairly quickly... it's already done for the most part, just want to KNOW what's actually going on. Peace of mind I guess.

Could be wrong but the letters identify the individual plugs and the numbers identify which pin in the plug. For example, say you had a plug with 4 pins/wires. Each wire/pin could be identified as A1 A2, A3 and A4. Only real concern is first identiying if the individaul pins are numbered left to right or right to left.

yep, look on the bottom of the page. there should be a reference to which plug is which (the letter), and where the pins are on the plug (number).

also, the Chiltons manual is pretty much a photocopy of the FSM....but here's the real FSM diagrams (for a '92 legacy) for ya:

and a clearer version of the pinout that's in my write-up:

That's EXACTLY what I needed, thanks.
