Rocking Subaru Forester

Recommended Posts

Guest CaptainBin

I have a 1998 Subaru Forester that now rocks from side to side as if it were being buffeted by wind. Mechanics can find nothing wrong except to say that it does rock between 45 mph & 60 mph on certain smooth road surfaces for 1/4 of a mile. They are all stumped. I did have the right rear bearings replaced a month before this began to happen. The tires are Bridgestone radials and only one year old.:(

I had this phenomena on my 90 legacy LS. Do you have an "S" Foester ie rear disk brakes? My rear rotors had runout. No Pulsing in the pedel, but a definate "wiggle" to the car, worse at 35-40, went away above 55.:)
