Scott in Bellingham Posted August 3, 2009 Share Posted August 3, 2009 I picked up a EJ 2.2 with single exhast port heads I also have have the dual port EJ 2.2 enginge would like to make a carbed engine with good offroad lowend torque what are the differences in those heads and cams and which should I go with ? are they the same just different exhast casting? or ?? idosubaru Posted August 3, 2009 Share Posted August 3, 2009 the difference is in the heads, they have siamesed exhaust ports. you can look up power differences on cars101.com with the 1995 being dual ports and 96 being single port. i would compare those two since they are the most identical except for the exhaust deal. pretty sure the power difference is rather small.
