Going to Rubicon, without offroader? (camera crew?)

well, as most of you know, I wanted to go to the rubicon, but I have sold my car... but I still would like to go and see how it goes, and get a preview, so that if it happens next year, I can be ready!

 

so what I am wondering, has anyone else in the Northwest 4 states, (WA, ID, OR, or Noth. CA) thought about attending the rubicon without going in an offroad car, like a "support" or "photo/video" crew? maybe even a saftey group?

I would personally like to go along, so that I can see the sites, and see how it all goes first hand, and offer my services and repair abilities to those who go- and also be a "backup" car(to get home), incase there is anyone that has a car that does not make it out alive...

I am still not completely sure if I can afford/get the time off to go, but there is a good chance...

and besides, once on the other side, maybe we can take a trip to Las Vegas!
