Blacksmith
Greetings all! Was driving & thought the clutch cable was about to give up; however, on opening up the hood, inspecting the clutch cables, found there were not one but two cables. I am used to only one in old Subarus. This one has one cable adjusted tight, the other adjusted loose. I have not seen anything like it. When I tightened the loose cable, it caused the gears to grind. The cables themselves seemed to be in good condition, not needing replacement. I don't have a manual and someone stole the reference copy out of our local library. I can't drive to any other library as I live in a remote mountain town and just have this one Subaru. Q: Is a model with a HH clutch hydrolic or vacuum-assisted? Q: Can anyone give me advise as to proper adjustment or, locating the problem(s)? thanks!
