    Thanks. I'm lucky enough that my husband is a mechanic and have done various swaps (with the exception of subarus). any suggestions on sources for cheap parts?

    I just got a 97 legacy awd wagon with a bad trans. instead of fixing/putting another auto trans in, i was thinking of dumping in a manual trans instead. which trans will fit (year/model)? this is the first subura i've owned and have no idea which trans/engine will fit this chassis. thanks
