i have a 80 brat and was wondering what is involved in swaping in a 1.8 from a gl from like an 87 with a dual range 5 speed or a newer tbi motor. the engine and trans in this car are weak. i have had a mid 80s gl ones) what engine bay and motor mount mods are needed. i can get a compleat crashed gl for next to nothing. how much would it cost to pull off a retrofit. im new to the board and any help will be awsome. i can do all the mechanical and electrical work but may have problems with the metal fab parts. it dosnt have to look good, just work well. thanks isaac
