    I have been told that if I procure an ecu from a jap imported vehicle of the same age the ecu that is used in japan doesn't have the imobiliser circuitry fitted can anyone confirm this ? regards rob

    I have an ej20 from 2002 impreza using standard ecu in my L series wagon but would like to know if anyone could help me by_ pass the imobiliser circuit so I dont need to buy an imobiliser ecu and ignition switch/key assy ? As when I try to start the eng there is no pulse to the injectors ? regards rob
