  1. Could it possibly be a misaligned pitching stopper?
  2. I have a 78 Brat with 52K original miles and I'm the second owner. It is in really great shape and am starting a restoration. I have an issue with it I thought I'd put up here and see if I can get some good advice. While driving if I'm in gear or out of gear and coasting it is smooth and quiet. If in gear and cruising it is quiet and smooth. The moment I accelerate or put any kind of torque on the engine, let's say I'm driving along a flat or slight decline then go to an incline of any sort or decide to speed up and press more on the accelerator, and it gets loud. At this time I can feel a vibration in the gear shifter and the 4wd shifter. I have a camper top on and the back glass removed so I can reach through to the bed and it seems I can hear the "loudness" even coming from back there. In searching for the problem I have found I have some play in the left inner tie rod and right rear wheel bearing. I attempted re-torquing the axle nut on the right rear but no change in the play. I have ordered the new inner tie rod and wheel bearing and am going to replace. I have also ordered new universal joints for the propeller shaft and will replace (just in case) even though after pulling the propeller shaft the U joints seem tight and smooth. Any thoughts or suggestions? Also tips on removing and installing that wheel bearing are appreciated. I already have the housing the bearing is in off the vehicle. Waiting for parts to arrive.
