I have a 1998 Outback Limited that I really enjoy as my winter car and I plan on keeping it in the family for a long time hopefully. Recently I did the headgasket among other things so the car runs great but I am looking at the future with it.
I am currently looking at the Scorpion lift kit for it and hopefully some bigger tires. My only worry is that I will put all of this on it and eventually the headgasket will blow again... Besides the EJ22 is there any other motor options for this car? even from a newer outback... Will the new 2.5L motors fit in?
Or at the very least with some slight modification can I get something decent in? Since I plan on getting bigger tires I dont want to lose any HP to the 2.2L... I know its not a big difference but I want the car to still get out of its own way.
