  1. OK Guys, First post here. I have a 99 Outback that I want to just semi get more power out of, nothing to extreme. I started with a KN Air Filter. So then I get thinking exhaust and low and behold a friend was willing to give me his stock wrx exhaust pieces. They included one of the cats, the longish midpipe, and the muffler. Well I thought that was all nice and dandy and today a friend of mine and I say lets swap it in, well we start by removing the stock exhaust and everything is fine for that until we go to mount up the new stuff. It doesn't mount up the friggin WRX is 2.25 and I think my stock stuff is 2.00. So my question is how in the hell do I get it to mount up? My friend and are not afraid to hack stuff, we just don't have a welder. So thanks for reading this essay. Joe
