    Well i found a 97 ej22 and it had egr. I just used my intake manifold and had to plug one hole and everything else fit. I got the engine in last night and it is running great.

    So my engine blew the other day and i need a replacement. I have a 98 impreza with the ej22 and 5mt. I need to find an engine that will bolt right up. What year engine from an impreza or a legacy will fit without issues?
