Hello, I have a quick question about an engine swap I need to do. I am new to Subaru's but not to turning wrenches. the engine in my 1998 Legacy Outback (2.5 liter and 5 speed) just took a dump and I would like to replace it with a good used engine. I am located in a pretty remote part of Alaska and I dont have alot to choose from. It just so happens that someone in my town has a wrecked 2005 wagon with a 2.5 with 24,000 miles on it. I am pretty sure that the fuel injection and alot of the electronics will not match up but I am wanting to know if I can use the Long block portion and bolt my intake and electronics up to it? If anyone can give me a little advice on this that would be great. Thanks, Jason
