    To be clear, we're talking about the 4wd selector or the 4spd shifter? Bending, cutting, and welding I can handle, as long as I'm not fabricating any complex linkage.

    I'm going to be starting this same swap soon on my 78 brat. What is involved in modifying the shift linkage? I haven't seen what it looks like on the ea81 cars to know the difference.
