  1. 95 2.2 into a 97 outback?

    bergskiier posted a topic in Subaru Retrofitting
    I have a 97 Subaru Outback that originally came with a 2.5L and the rod bearing went bad on it. I have been told that a 95' 2.2L will fit in and plug in exactly into my 97' Outback. Can anyone verify this? I've had a few legacy's with the 2.2 and never had a single problem, good engine. Hopefully this will go in easy and simple.
