Hmm... ok. It does seem to be a relatively common problem, based on all of the threads with nearly identical symptoms. I'll be sure to post if I am able to track down the culprit. I've amassed a pretty big list of things DON'T seem to be causing the problem based on what others have tried. Wish me luck...

Help! Did you ever find a solution to the clicking/stalling problem you were trying to solve in this thread http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=105710? My 92 Legacy is doing the same thing and it's driving me nuts! Throw me a bone, man... did that AC relay fix the issue?
