  1. 84'GL Not looking for Power but For reliable Motor

    Current Sit Rep: Gifted 84" GL 4Dr Hatch 4WD High Low Super Clean Blown Head Gasket warped Head. Not Subaru Saveey. I Have built a Car or two in me Day (YJ, AE86, Volvo 240/350 swap, 76' Fiat 124.) The research I've done points in the general Direction that Subaru's more/ most reliable engines have been built in the last ten years. the 80's were fun but not the best. A side from the fact that the EJ Does not fit in the average 84'GL is this the most or one of the most reliable motors? Or what is? I' like working on engines But Head gaskets every 75,000 is a little....
