  1. I am considering buying my first Subaru soon..

    Once I sell my current vehicle, I am planning on buying a Subaru. I've decided this for various reasons, most of which involve having 4WD but still being able to get good fuel economy. I am going back and forth between going with one of the EA engines and one of the EJ.. this is going to be my daily driver, I am going to be driving it on the interstate and would like to not be too terribly slow compared to most traffic.. would it make a whole lot of difference to go with the EJ rather than EA engine? Mostly asking because I love the body style of the 77-84 wagon, with the round chrome gas cap... and I don't really have the equipment to do an engine swap to put an EJ in one of those. So, any help would be appreciated! thanks guys.. zac
