    ok i will find out if it has egr valve it does not have the pipe with it so i will have to buy one but thats not a big issue. I tried the search but this is all new to me (suburu) I am a diesel guy doing this for my oldest son. did the search but unsure of what i was looking for when it came to ej motors and such. Couldnt find a listing for putting a detroit 60 series from a peterbuilt in a suburu/ LOL. Thanks for the input will keep you posted

    i have a 96 legacy awd that has been overheated way to many times heads are warped) it has a 2.5 in it now , the only engine i can find is a 2.2 from a 96 imprzna does anyone know if it will bolt in ? Both are automatic transmissions if not will anything else bolt right in place ?
