Ok here's the deal i'm new to hear so i'm not sure where to ask these question. I have a 1971 Sambar w/335cc I am looking for tune-up parts ie: Distribator cap, rotor, points and plugs. First problem is when i call every parts place says thier book only shows 4 cylinder motors for that yr, no 2 cylinder 2 strokes. Next the plugs that i took out of it are Champion L-81Y, which I came to find out are used for marine appl. outboard motors. I'm wondering do i have the wrong? How do I find out what year it is. Where can i find the parts i need (motercycle shop may be distbutor looks like many i have see on bikes). I live in Northern California ( San Franisco ), I would like to get the parts locally if I can. Please if anyone can help i would be very grateful. My name is Derrick/Trainingday I am earger to chat I have a 71' Sambar p/u and have sum question and need help. I was in the autobody business for 20yrs, 5yrs as an owner, I am currently a Lic.
