About Me

I joined the board in 2004 all excited about building up one of the first ported "spidered" Air to Water Intercooled ea82t engines. I had a 1987 gl turbo wagon 5 speed push button 4wd in which I had installed a nice custom dog/cargo separator that I had made along with a custom license plate that said: K9WAGON and I drove the dog pee outta that wagon on all of the mountainous California  highways. From hwy 9 between Los Gatos to Santa Cruz and likewise for 17 and 101. I went through sets of tires like seasons  ;)  I made a few posts about my cars over the years but I have been pretty quiet and moved around a bunch, even up to Fairbanks Alaska and just never had time to get online. I enjoy pretty much anything Subaru related. And I also dig motorcycles subatrikes atvs go-cart mountain bikes skiing ski-joring dog-sledding snowmobiling ( Or snowmachines if your a northerner :D)

As a career I am self employed as a marine mechanic and structural repair fabricator and busy running my small mobile machine shop out of my 1960 Gillig 501. I feel I have pushed the ea82T research as far as stock head castings and cams will allow and as long as meaty low end torque and fuel economy are your goals I belive it CAN be bullet proofed.
