  1. Hey everyone! I'm new to the site and just wanted to introduce myself. I just bought a 98 legacy outback for a daily driver...I generally stick with chevy's but i've read and heard a lot of great things about the AWD subaru's which is exactly what i need for the snow!! I have a huge, lifted Chevy Silverado...it's a beast of a truck but it also drink's gas like crazy. I usually fill the truck every 4 days on average and right before the gas drop @ $3.60/gallon i was spending $86 to fill the tank...this morning, i filled the legacy with gas @3.20 and it took $37!!! I think i can get used to this. Anyways, I always welcome any advice or input for engine mods (I love to mod my vehicles....the only one of my vehicles without mod's is my wife's...for obvious reasons lol) within reason and price range and any common maintenance issues that y'all run into... Thanks, and i look forward to the plethera of knowledge on this site!!
