  1. 2005 Outback Driveshaft replacement - driveshaft is meant to be a throwaway?

    2005 Outback had the driveshaft replaced early Nov 2015. Had vehicle checked out when deciding to buy - certified suburu mechanic said the wrong driveshaft was in the car and was about an inch too long. Went back to the provider of the rebuilt-new driveshaft - he said all suburu outback driveshafts are cannot be rebuilt and the appropriate driveshaft he provided is in the car. Who do I believe? Do I need a third opinion?
