  1. Hello, I have a 2017 Crosstrek with 2.0 liter boxer and CVT transmission. It now has 2000 miles, it is my first Subaru. My question: Does the boxer engine tolerate rapid acceleration trying to get on the highway the engine sometimes goes up to 4500RPM. I have to follow other people on the highway entrance, and need to get up to 70MPH quickly to get in a lane. I see the redline is around 6500, Thanks for the help. Bigjoedo
  2. Hello, I bought a 2017 Subaru Crosstrek, it has the factory stereo without navigation. I like the features of the stereo, it sounded OK,. I just installed the Kicker upgrade speakers and Dash tweeters, WOW what a difference. I have plastic bowls that weigh more than the factory speakers. Turned down the virtual bass, as it is no longer needed, so much clarity and sound. It is a great upgrade. For comparison, I have high end Kenwood stereos, JBL speakers and powered subwoofers in my truck and PT cruiser and the Subaru now sounds 85-90% as good as the PT cruiser and my Truck. Bigjoedo
