Hi Chris This is Jerry, yes you can do this project but you need 2 donor cars to get it done cheap. You need a EA81 car to get the rear drive and you need a EA82 car to get the 5 speed from. So what it comes down to your cat has to be in really good shape. Thanks Jerry

Hi This is Jerry, the 1980 brat is an EA71 not an EA81 and it is totaly different that the 82-87 brats. I have done one 80 brat alot more work to install a 5 speed in it also if you don't lift your brat it won't fit in the tunnel. Trans is to big and the tunnel is to small. Thanks Jerry

Hi Shelby This is Jerry, the clutch disc is from a 85-86 4x4 wagon with the 5 speed in it. The drive line needs 51 inches of new tubing. Thanks Jerry

Hi Eric This is Jerry, if your trans has only 2 switches on it then it is a 85-86 trans but if it has 4 switches then it is a later trans. This 5 speed kit makes it possible to unbolt your old 4 speed trans and bolt up the 5 speed trans and keep everything stock in your brat. Hi Wes This is Jerry, you will need to send me #1 the 4 speed shifter #2 the 4 speed trans cross member #3 the 4x4 linkage from the 4 speed only part of that linkage i will need is the psrt that gose through the rubber boot #4 the 5 speed shifter #5 the 5 speed trans mounts all 3 of them. Hi Jr This is Jerry, yes i make a 5 speed kit for the EA81 cars. If you have the big flywheel yes you use it with the perssure plate and you use the clutch disc from the EA82 5 speed BUT it has to be from a 85-86 wagon with the round center hub and it has 6 springs to fit.
