has anyone done this swap - is it even possible?

Do they use the same chasis or do the vary between sedan/wagon/ute?

rails are to narrow. but can be cut and notched to make it fit...

 

the SOHC EJ will fit the DOHC will not...

 

but if you make it work. that would be one heck of a ride...

Thats a shame dude - would have loved to see that wagon boosting down the highway :D

How much money do you have? There is a company in NZ called R.I.P.S. (google them) that would do that kind of thing but I think you would have to have plenty of spare cash in your back pocket.

 

I dream of winning the lottery and sending them a gen1 coupe to go nuts on. I love the machine work they do. Amazing attention to detail.
