New to this forum but have had 4 Outbacks : 2000, 2001, 2011, 2012.;  2000 got drowned, currently have the last 3 , '01 , H3.0 with over 200K miles , being driven by an in-college son.

Love Outbacks.... they just keep getting better and better... also more expensive.

I'm new here, too.  Just bought a white '97 Legacy L wagon as-is from a dealership for $2574 after TTL.  I love it.  168k miles, decent exterior, clean interior, one owner.  Have wanted a Subaru Outback for long time, but don't want a car payment right now, so the price was perfect.  Having some issues with transmission slipping, but we think we might have caught it early enough and that an AT fluid flush could fix it. Thank goodness we have a mechanic in the family.  Think happy thoughts/say prayers!
