The seal with the meatla ring is the original seal NOK AE1032F and the other is suppose to be the replcement Timken 222050. It is quit obvios the its not the correct seal. Does anyone know the right part number for this seal? and where to get it? Any help is appriciated since i cant put the transmission back together till i find a new one.

Its a different style seal, but dimensionally looks correct other than the height. That may not even matter, and it looks like the only difference between the two is the height and that the OE seal has a metal plate to divert some splash away from the seal. Personally, I would have no issues with using that in a rebuild.

thnaks, Guy at NAPA told me same thing, guess it just a moremodern seal VS 30 year old seal. just wanted to be sure since its a lot of work if it leakes

I have some seals from this parts lot if you still have to have an original style seal. I think they're in entire OEM reseal kits.
