Hi everyone,

I'm a transplant from other subie forums where I occasionally lurk.  I was attracted here by the DIY head resurfacing thread... GREAT thread.  I'm posting from upstate NY.

I like Subarus for their surefooted turbocharged attitude.

...but I currently own a modest '09 OB 2.5i SE 4AT (seacrest green, tan cloth int, fully loaded with dog fur & stank).

I drive her every day and use her for work.  My driving style could be described as, "What's the point of shifting before the needle passes 5K?"  Because of the nature of my self employment, I do a lot of short trips, stop and go, hop on the highway, park her for 30 minutes, get back in and go again sometimes 3, 5, 10 times a day.  We (the car and I) go through quality brakes.

With that kind of driving and mileage, you can probably imagine it's time to tear apart the engine and perform some love.  On that note, I'm off to beg for the skilled mercy of a subaru mechanic (in another thread).

Cheers,

Luf
