It's got to be a regional thing. Could be they ordered one style of Brat that they thought would appeal to the local public's taste? Once it flew, it may have been a sales gimmick kind of thing to offer choices... like "new and improved"?

 

that sounds to complicated for the 70's...:rolleyes:

 

i have only seen 2 brats(besides mine) that were actually sold here and i have heard of many more... all were gen 1's... i have talked to about a dozen people who bought them new and i asked them (most of them) if they had the targa on them... all of them said no...

 

so i would say that it is specific to region just because not all the dealerships had them as an option...
