sharpstick
2003 Forester I am attempting to wire in a universal trailer connector to replace the dead original. I will just cut the wires and splice in the new one. Does anyone have the color codes for the wires to the converter? If not, no biggie. I will ring them out myself tonight if no response. and can someone tell me where I can get a good repair manual with circuit diagrams? thanks billy sharpstick
Zefy
assuming your harness itself isn't bad, just the connector, you could easily go get a cheap test light(like 3 bucks from any auto store) then just go through the wires one by one... one will be ground... so connect the test light to that, or maybe even thte body... it shouldn't matter... then just get somebody to step on the brakes, see which one turns on, then the blinkers... it should be quite simple to come up with your own wiring diagram... i hope that helps... and if at all possible, solder your wires... it'll work way better... Good luck! and welcome to the board!
