welcome!!

What engine is in the impreza?? if you got the 2.2 (i don't remember when they put those in the impreza's) i'm doing the STi bottom end in a similar engine.

I've also heard that's a good candidate for STi sleeper-ness.

Welcome aboard!

Yeah well bad news. I found out that they didnt put the 2.5 in the imprezas of that year. Not only that I blue booked it and it is worth 1000 dollars less than the selling price. I wont be getting it. I do still plan on finding one. But that car has a 1.8 as far as carfax said. Very upsetting. Like I said I dont know too much about subaru's yet so I didnt know that they didnt have the 2.5 I expected they did. But yes my idea of the perfect sleeper. (0ne day) Still lookingon ideas on bolt on power or maybe fuel/timing tricks.

If you're planning to swap the WRX stuff in anyways, the origional engine size won't matter. The EJ18 in that impreza is a good engine, someone would want it for something. EJ25x were not in imprezas of that era, except 2.5RS's Which were not turbo's.
