I'm starting to reassemble my EJ22 engine. I have a set of new OEM Subaru head gaskets for it, but I'm not sure if I need to use a gasket adhesive on these gaskets or not?

Yep, use spray.

 

Finally got an answer from Subaru - install dry. :confused:

Ive rebuilt a lot of them and we use OEM gaskets and copper spray with no issues. Remember the source, they "cure" premature head gasket failure with stop leak. :confused: "Cooling system conditioner"
