FF-1 / Ford corsair

Featured Replies

Hi,

I don't usually frequent the historic forum, but I was curious about older Subies. Has anyone noticed the striking styling similarity between a '69 FF-1 and the (British) Ford Corsair? (You can see a pic on fordcorsair.com.)

Perhaps this is "old hat" around here, but it really jumped out at me. Judge for yourself.

Cheers,

Nathan

similar rounded look about the front ,but nothing looks as good as an FF1, am i biased, sure am

A lot of 70s jap cars look like the mk1 cortina as well (subarus, datsuns, mitsubishis etc.

Wow, that does look pretty close, at least in the front.

But I feel confident saying that the two are entirely unrelated. The body shape is too different. And of course, the engine is different.
