Going from ea82t to ea82 mpfi?

Featured Replies

I think I am gonna go the cheap route with my turbo wagon and look out for a donor ea82 engine/car. I belive that I should be able to swap over the ecu, harness, engine etc. etc. with no problem right? I will be keeping my pushbutton 4wd for now and eventually want a d/r for a crawler build-up down the road. So my question is what year ea82 cars should I look at and what will I run into if I try to put the donor engine in my 89 turbo wagzorz?

if you want to go cheap you can swap in a carb motor and swap the fuel pump for it to work and figure out the carb electrics but its a motor.

if you replaced the block with the same heads you could go na mpfi if you just leave the turbo off and get the correct boot

If you got the 3 plug turbo ecu you can plug a na mpfi motor str8 in no harness swap.4 plug i went the other way n/a mpfi to turbo using n/a ecu loom etc ,can't see why it wouldn't work in reverse .
