tranny leak help

I posted this in the 80's forum...i think i really should have posted it in this forum since i have a 1980 BRAT with an EA71.

 

Basically, it looks like there is a leak coming out of the rod that connects the transmission to the gear shift linkage (shift selector rod??). Here is a picture of the leak:

Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?
