Alright... Since the new to me Subaru will be arriving later this week I'd like to put a few miles under it tires before I start adding things to it.

I'm wondering how many of you have ran the entire Barlow Road in your Subaru? That's from Highway 35 to the town of Wamic, about 35'ish miles or so. The sandy areas near the White River Crossing have always been fun, mostly when there is a good amount of water in the campground areas. I've been on it a few times in my Toyota and Explorer, for the Toyota it was nothing but for the Explorer it had some added fun.

Looking to find out how many of you would be intrested in joining me in a shakedown run?? For just a day trip, nothing overnight...unless it gets too late while exploring.

Sometime before Labor Day weekend(but not over Labor Day weekend, I'll be at sand lake playin') or maybe early September. Just before lots of hunters begin flooding the area. I know the area fairly well and a few good roads to blast down for exploring.

If I have my brat lifted at the time and its not sold yet I may come... but the 87 I would be scared to bring... its the daily driver and the 175's on it kinda suck (and dont give it much clearance)

The Barlow Road really isn't much to fear if you've never traveled it before. It's fairly uneventfull untill you reach the lower areas, White River Crossing to Rock Creek area... This is where it starts to get a little more exciting, especially after it has rained a few times on that side of "the hill". There's also the WRGMA(White River Game Management Area) to cruise around. When dry it's just dirt roads with ruts..after it rains it's just slick dirt(mud) with ruts and mini mud holes, perfect for Subarus to splash through.
